Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary Examination) in the regular science academic stream from a recognized central or state board with Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics (PCB / PCM). Any other qualification equivalent and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) is also accepted.

Admissions are granted strictly on a First-Come, First-Served basis upon receipt of the application, document verification, and payment of the 1st installment (₹50,000/-). Total annual intake is strictly capped at 60 seats as mandated by the Pharmacy Council of India. Once 60 seats are approved, subsequent applicants are placed on the Waiting List.

No. Under the Education Regulations (ER-2020) of the Pharmacy Council of India, admission to Diploma in Pharmacy is strictly restricted to science candidates with Physics and Chemistry alongside Biology or Mathematics.

The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to be eligible for statutory registration with MSCTE and PCI.

The course fee is structured as follows:

• First Year Course Fee: ₹1,00,800/-
• Second Year Course Fee: ₹85,000/-
• Refundable Caution Money: ₹1,000/- (Refunded upon course completion)
• Total 2-Year Expenditure: ₹1,86,800/-

Yes. The first-year fee is split into:

• 1st Installment: ₹50,000/- at the time of admission.
• 2nd Installment: ₹30,000/- before the winter vacation / second sessionals.
• Final Balance: Must be settled before the final MSCTE board examination admit card issuance.

MIPS provides all required uniform and stationery sets directly within the first-year fee:

• 6 Theory Note Books (including examination blue books)
• 5 Bound Practical Laboratory Manuals
• 2 White Laboratory Practical Coats
• 2 Official Institute Trousers and 1 College T-Shirt
• 1 Cardigan Knit Sweater for winter

Students only need to provide plain black formal shoes.

Yes. Scheduled Tribe (ST) students domiciled in Mizoram can apply for the Post-Matric Scholarship through the Mizoram Scholarship Board / National Scholarship Portal (NSP). The college administrative office provides all necessary fee certificates and bonafide documentation.

MIPS strictly implements the Education Regulations 2020 (ER-2020) prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and affiliated to the Mizoram State Council for Technical Education (MSCTE), Government of Mizoram.

After appearing in the Part II final examinations, each student must undergo a compulsory 500 hours of practical training spread over not less than three months in a recognized civil hospital or health center under a licensed hospital pharmacist, covering prescription reading, dispensing ethics, and drug storage.

Yes. Upon passing D. Pharm Part I and Part II and completing the 500-hour hospital training, students receive their diploma and are fully eligible to register under Section 32(2) of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 with the Mizoram State Pharmacy Council or other state councils, qualifying them to legally operate a retail/wholesale pharmacy.

Renting, selling, or lending a pharmacist qualification certificate or drug license to an unqualified person is an illegal and punishable offence under Indian law. Registered pharmacists must be physically present at the pharmacy premises during dispensing.

Yes! D. Pharm diploma holders are eligible for Lateral Entry directly into the 2nd Year (3rd Semester) of Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) in PCI-recognized universities across India.

MIPS does not run an institutional hostel building. The academic and laboratory practical schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Administrative offices are open during the same hours for inquiries, student affairs, and certificate collection.
